From Wireframe to HiFi Design: A Case Study for a Snack App

From Wireframe to HiFi Design: A Case Study for a Snack App

From a Problem Statement to an MVP: A fictional design journey

In an imaginative task aimed at boosting the motivation and health of employees, I conceptualized a Snack Kiosk App for offices, providing employees with a monthly credit for diverse snacks. Facilitated by a trust-based app, the streamlined one-touch purchase process would allow for easy selection and users could access nutrition details effortlessly. The goal was to design a user-friendly app for a fast and appealing snack experience while gathering employee feedback.

Understanding the Problem and Objectives

Problem Statements
  • Low Employee Motivation: The opportunity to offer an office snack kiosk for employees is not yet realized, hindering motivation, healthy eating habits, employee retention, and the incentive to work in the office.

  • Time-Consuming Snack Procurement: Current snack procurement requires employees to visit external stores, leading to less usable lunch break time.

  • Lack of Workplace Health Promotion: No established method for promoting healthy eating habits at the workplace contributes to an unhealthy lifestyle, potentially increasing illnesses and reducing productivity.

Goal Statements
  • Motivating Employee Experience: The app aims to create a motivating experience by introducing an innovative snack kiosk to enhance employee engagement and motivation through healthy incentives.

  • Efficient Snack Procurement: The app targets significant ease in snack procurement for employees in Nuremberg and Berlin, saving valuable work time by allowing virtual snack orders and making them available at the workplace.

  • Promoting a Healthy Work Environment: The goal is to create a health-promoting work environment, facilitating access to healthy snacks and providing incentives for employees to make conscious nutrition choices, leading to positive lifestyle changes and increased productivity.

Observational Research and Survey

To better empathize with the users and their needs, an attitudinal research approach would be the right way to do it. A survey would be conducted among individuals to gather insights into their lunch and eating habits and preferences. The survey findings would then get analyzed using an affinity diagram to identify patterns and common sentiments.

Attitudinal Research Survey & KPIs
